National Water Safety Conference 2025: Call for Abstracts
Reconnecting, celebrating excellence and shaping the future of water safety
We are currently accepting abstracts for our 2025 National Water Safety Conference. Taking place March 12, 2025 at the Crowne Plaza, Birmingham, NEC, this conference will provide delegates an excellent opportunity to amplify and spotlight good practice as well as shape the future of water safety in the UK.
We are currently accepting abstracts in three topic areas:
Collaboration
How partnership working or a multisectoral approach is benefitting drowning prevention in your area or community.
Inclusion
Why an inclusive approach to drowning prevention is vital to help our diverse population enjoy water safely.
Innovation
How technology and connected communities can help people enjoy the water and prevent drowning.
Who should submit?
This conference invites water safety professionals, community leaders, educators, innovators, and advocates with a commitment to making water safer for everyone. If you’re passionate about drowning prevention and eager to share your knowledge, we encourage you to submit an abstract.

Who is the conference for?
This conference is suitable for anyone with responsibility for water safety, or managing sites or locations that feature water hazards, as well as practitioners and academics within drowning prevention.
Prices, key dates and deadlines for the Abstract submission:
- 13 January 2025 – Deadline for abstract submission
- 24 January 2025 – Notifications of successful submissions.
- 4 February 2025 – Deadline for speaker registration
- 12 March 2025 – Conference day
If you have been successful in your submission, you will be invited to secure your speaker ticket for the conference. Speaker tickets are priced at £112 + VAT and will be available for purchase through our webshop. Full details on how to register will be provided in your notification email.
