Accessibility
Compatible browsers
The RoSPA website has been built with compatibility for most major browsers in mind, including Internet Explorer 8 to 11. We do however recommend that you use the latest version of your chosen browser to get the best out of the site. We provide no support for Internet Explorer 6 or 7 and below.
Links
The majority of links around the RoSPA site are indicated by red text which underlines when you hover your cursor over it. File downloads have a set of icons associated with them. See below.
We also have a policy of not opening any links in new windows, to keep window clutter to a minimum.
Downloading files
You'll find that downloadable documents on the RoSPA site have icons to indicate what sort of file they are, and what program you'll need to be able to read them.
Wherever possible we have converted documents into Adobe PDF format. Most operating systems can download and run the software needed to read PDF files, called Abobe Reader.
File types and icons
File descriptions are followed by icons.

Microsoft Excel Files

Reading files
Typically you will need Adobe Reader or Microsoft Office to read these types of file, however you can download various programs to be able to read Word, Excel and PowerPoint files.
The following links all lead to external websites.
Microsoft has produced their own read-only Viewers for Windows PCs
You can also download free office applications which will allow you to read and edit documents too.
Lastly, Adobe provides a free PDF to text or HTML service on their website so that screen-reader users can read PDF content easily. Click here to use the service.
Screen readers
We've attempted to keep the website as friendly as possible to users of screen reader software. Navigation links are generally in lists and pages are separated by correct headings, with the level 1 heading denoting the start of page content, and level 2 headings dividing it further.
If you regularly use a screen-reader to read websites and find the RoSPA site difficult to navigate, please do not hesitate to contact us and give us feedback. Click here to go to the Contact Us page.
All images on the site use alternative text tags, and have been made descriptive wherever possible, so that screen readers can communicate their content.
Javascript
The RoSPA website uses Javascript in a lot of areas. With Javascript disabled certain features may not work.
Printing
Simply print the web page as you normally would, and all menus, banners, and superfluous material will be stripped from the page automatically. You can check what the page will look like by clicking the Print Preview option in most browsers.
