Supporting the community and Brighter Beginnings

As part of the campaign, Keeping Kids Safe packs, were offered free of charge to all Orbit customers with children under the age of five. So far they have distributed packs to over 3,500 families and parents at the Parenting Project in Bishopton, Stratford. The packs include an easy-to-fit cupboard latch, a nursery thermometer, a falls prevention height chart and useful kitchen/bathroom resources including a flannel and weaning spoon, which all contain key safety advice.

At the Birmingham Gala Dinner, in June 2019, following their outstanding double gold award achievement, Orbit Group kindly donated £71,400 to our Brighter Beginnings appeal.

Early Adopters of Safer by Design

At the launch of the Safer by Designs framework in November 2019, we were delighted to announce Orbit Group as the leading housing association partner. The framework has been embedded into Orbit's home policy and, through evidence-based recommended changes to home design, Orbit has pledged that all dwelling are to meet RoSPA Gold Standard, with the aspiration to achieve the Platinum Standard where possible.
