DP World London Gateway
DP World London Gateway is the UK’s most integrated logistics hub; a state-of-the-art deep-sea port and rail terminal on the same site as an expansive land bank for the flexible and fast development of logistics facilities and warehouses.
As one of the five fastest growing ports in the world, there is a significant need for health and safety oversight. Not only to fulfill our legal requirements but to foster a consultative ‘safety first’ culture that raises standards and creates a safer and healthier workforce that ultimately improves performance.
"Our employees’ overall experience of the training course was very good; they found the content useful and interesting. More so, they feel valued and part of the improved safety culture we are working to create."
Mark Wills - Health and Safety Advisor
In accordance with the Representatives and Safety Committees Regulations 1977, we appointed Trade Union Safety Representatives. These representatives will be consulted on matters affecting employee health and safety. They do this through membership of the company’s Health and Safety Committee that oversees, and works to improve all aspects of safety across the business.
