What does the Advanced Driver Coaching Course cover?
Driver education principles: Participants will learn to apply the principles of the Goals for Driver Education focusing on the development of driver skills and awareness.
Roadcraft system (IPSGA): The course emphasizes the application of the 'Roadcraft' system of vehicle control known by the acronym IPSGA (Information/ Position/Speed/ Gear/Acceleration) to coaching qualified drivers.
Commentary methods: The advanced driver coaching course covers the use of different types of commentary as teaching and learning tools during coaching sessions.
RoSPA standard drive: Participants will have the opportunity to demonstrate a RoSPA standard drive in accordance with the RoSPA Advanced Driving Test Guidance.
Reflective practice: Throughout the course participants will develop two reflective accounts and continuous professional development plans.
